'Hawks drop Pies' - Round 17, 2012 Wrap.

In what was billed to be the title fight involving two heavyweights of the competition, it sure turned out to be anything but. Hawthorn did as they pleased against a lacklustre Collingwood outfit, who looked out of sorts all day. Whilst Brownlow smokies Beams (4 goals) and Swan (career high 49 possessions) played out of their well inked skin, they could do little to stop the onslaught, as the Hawks extended their lead at every break.

Many think that they will meet again in the last day in September, and if they do the Pies will want to reassess their attack otherwise face the same result.
